Lit Bits
Lit Bits is a bookish podcast and radio show (on Resonance FM) hosted by Adam Smyth and James Kidd.
Each episode glides about a particular subject using books, poems, plays, the occasional guest and high-quality trouser-wear. About Adam & James
Adam Smyth is Professor of English Literature and the History of the Book, Clarendon University Lecturer, A.C. Bradley-J.C. Maxwell Fellow and Tutor in English Literature. As well as holding the Guinness World Record for longest job title, Adam has written and/or edited several books on early modern literature and/or material texts, contributes to the TLS and/or LRB, and has even founded his own printing press, 39 Steps. His hobbies include shoe maintenance and/or hair cuts (deconstructions). Read more about Adam here.
James Kidd is a freelance writer based in Oxford. His journalism has appeared in The Independent and Independent on Sunday, Literary Review, The Observer, The Daily Telegraph, Esquire Weekly, Time Out, South China Morning Post, and The Jerusalem Post among others. As well as co-hosting Lit Bits, he has a series of inevitable podcast side-projects including This Writing Life and The Keats-Shelley Podcast. In his spare time, he enjoys hat restoration and finding that perfect book mark.
